SUPPORTABILITY serves adults with Developmental Disabilities, who are consumers of the Redwood Coast Regional Center and live in Lake County. We serve individuals who have significant challenges caring for themselves, maintaining appropriate social interactions, people who have a “duel-diagnosis”, TBI, Autism and other intellectual disabilities. We also specialize in working with individuals who use non-traditional ways of communicating, especially through their behavior. Those served by SUPPORTABILITY would benefit from person-centered services designed specifically for their individual preferences, strengths, interests and choices.
SUPPORTABILITY understand that the nature of our services is to develop effective and beneficial relationships with our consumers, their families, care providers, service coordinators and other members of the community. The hopeful result of these relationships is consumers with improved abilities to be part of their community. This understanding allows SUPPORTABILITY to serve a diverse population of consumers through a thoroughly individual approach.
Consumers of SUPPORTABILITY would likely have difficulty in typical day-program settings because of increased demands for supports. These consumers would likely benefit from services that are individually tailored to meet these support needs. Consumers requiring activities that are offered and paced in an individualized manner for them to be successful at participating would benefit from the services of SUPPORTABILITY. Also, individuals that require extra supports for participating in activities such as doctor visits would benefit from participating with SUPPORTABILITY. A service ratio of one to one is the standard. Consumers seeking individualized volunteerism and work-related supports would benefit from being associated with North Coast Supportability.
We are proud to offer Whole-Person-Centered Services to adults with cognitive and other disabilities. Our services are personalized to each individual served. We specialize in serving these Consumers of the Regional Center System who need individually tailored supports on a long-term, intensive level in their own Community.
